Viprinet

ViprinetViprinet has been manufacturing innovative network components since 2006; their patented technology makes it possible to aggregate the bandwidths of a variety of WAN connections at the same time (xDSL, cable, mobile, or satellite). Today, about 50 employees develop, produce and sell Viprinet products worldwide from Bingen am Rhein in Germany. An additional sales office opened in Sunnyvale, California, in early 2015. All Viprinet products are made in Germany and fulfill the highest standards of security and confidentiality.

Viprinet uses an exceptional SD-WAN based VPN tunnel technique with a star topology for secure and fast site, facility and vehicle linkage. For this purpose, the integration of two different devices is needed: A Multichannel VPN Router establishes an encrypted VPN tunnel to a single central remote station, the Multichannel VPN Hub, via each Internet line available. These VPN tunnels are then bundled into one tunnel through which the data is then transferred.

The Multichannel VPN Hub is usually located in a highly reliable data center and acts as an exchange: Data targeted at another company site will be forwarded through the respective VPN tunnel; data targeted at the public Internet will be decrypted and forwarded to its destination. The VPN Hub provides secure and quick communication between different Multichannel VPN Routers but it also serves as pivotal exchange point between the encrypted VPN and the public Internet.

With the help of real channel bonding, up to six WAN connections of different providers can be combined into a highly reliable and fast Internet link. Interconnecting only three low-priced ADSL-lines by different providers already raises reliability to more than 99.9 per cent in the annual average. Running costs can hence be reduced considerably, with higher bandwidth and more resilience.

For almost any solution there is a proper Multichannel VPN Router, be it for mobile applications, fast company connectivity in remote areas, flexible site connection, or large networks.

In addition to the Multichannel VPN Router, a remote device is needed for establishing a Viprinet network, the Multichannel VPN Hub. Here, the data sent through the VPN tunnel by the local router is being reassembled and decrypted, before it will be forwarded to its original destination on the Internet. (see also: Viprinet principle).

The Multichannel VPN Hub is available in three different types that can be variably combined with all other Viprinet products. This provides more flexibility and ideal configuration for company and ISP networks.

Using the Hot Plug Modules, you may equip your Multichannel VPN Routerwith an arbitrary combination of modem types to fully utilize all locally available Internet access options in a bundled fashion. Hot plugging means that you are allowed to add or replace modules while the router is running and in use, without any interruption to running data transfers from clients inside the LAN.

Depending on the form of Internet access to be used, different types of modules are available. The range of modules offered by Viprinet is expanded continuously. This way, your investment into our routers is secured – should new forms of Internet access become available in the rapidly changing access market, you will always be able to quickly update your router to these new technologies.

For Internet access technologies currently not covered by one of our Hot Plug Modules, the Gigabit Ethernet module exists allowing you to integrate any kind of external modem or line router into the bonding controlled by your Multichannel VPN Router.
